10/15 Fruit of the Spirit
I thought last week's discussion on virtues of godly wisdom from James 3:17 and fruit of the spirit in Galatians 5:22-23 was quite interesting. Especially the perversions of those virtues. It was something that we have rarely considered when we think of these virtues. This week, we will review them and consider some application questions.
Next week, 7/22, we will meet at John and Siana's new house for a house warming party/fellowship.
Memory Verses: Galatians 5:22-23
Questions:
1. How has humanism affected our thinking and living? What can we do to let God renew our thinking?
2. With all the impurity around us, what can we do as Christians to develop and maintain purity?
3. Which of the virtues is most visible in our church today? Which is most lacking?
4. Which of the perversions do you see most frequently in the Christian community? Why do you think that is true?
5. If God were to measure our church by the standards of these virtues, what do you think He would have to say to us as a church?
6. What are the marks of the last days and what can the church do to prepare for that time?
7. How can we apply the Scriptures to our lives, families, and church?
